Oneirism is a lucid-dreaming practice app. Your dreams stay yours. We do not run a server, we do not have accounts, and we never receive the content of your dream journal or your dictation audio. The only data that reaches third parties is anonymous, aggregate usage and crash information that cannot identify you. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell your data.

Your dream journal text — on your device and your private iCloud.
When you type or dictate a dream, the resulting text is stored locally on your device.
If you have iCloud enabled, it syncs through your own private iCloud account (Apple's CloudKit
private database) so it is available on your other devices. This data lives in Apple's
infrastructure under your Apple ID and is governed by
Apple's Privacy Policy.
We have no server and no access to this content — we cannot read, retrieve,
or recover your dreams.
Voice transcription — on-device.
When you dictate a dream, transcription is performed on your device using Apple's on-device
speech recognition. The app does not save an audio recording. Dictation audio is not sent to us
or to a server for transcription. Microphone and speech-recognition access are requested only
when you actively start dictating a dream.
App settings, trial state, and streaks.
Your exact reminder times, reality-check schedule, seven-morning recall-plan progress,
7-night trial start date, and streak counts
are stored locally on the device (and may sync via your private iCloud). They are never sent to
us. Anonymous usage events may include a coarse onboarding goal, recall-frequency category, and
whether a morning cue was offered, enabled, skipped, or opened, and which plan morning was
completed with a dream, a no-recall practice, or a record review; they never include the exact
time or any dream content.
To understand whether the app works and is useful, we use two privacy-respecting services. The data they collect is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you across other apps or websites.

We do not use Firebase Analytics or any advertising SDK. The app contains no advertising. Because we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, the app does not show the iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt.
Usage events tell us that something happened (for example, that a dream was saved); they never include the content of the dream, the transcript, or the audio.
Dream Recall Score on our website.
If you use the optional Dream Recall Score, TelemetryDeck receives anonymous event categories:
the source label in the link, each question and selected answer category, the derived recall level,
goal and bottleneck, and whether you use a result-page action. The page does not collect free text,
an email address, dream content, or an account identifier. It creates a random identifier for the
current browser session only and does not save that identifier in a cookie or local storage.
Oneirism is free to use for 7 nights. After that, a single one-time purchase unlocks the app permanently — there is no subscription. Payments, billing, and any refunds are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store; we never see or store your payment details. The purchase is validated on your device through Apple's StoreKit.
Oneirism is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Your dream data stays in your own iCloud (governed by Apple). Our analytics providers (TelemetryDeck — EU-based; Google/Crashlytics) may process anonymous, non-identifying data outside your country, including in the United States, under their respective safeguards.
Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU/EEA under GDPR, or California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to certain processing.
If you are in the EU/EEA you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Spain, the AEPD).
We do not hold a server-side copy of your content, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Your data persists in your device/iCloud until you delete it. Anonymous analytics and crash data are retained by our providers per their own retention policies.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be posted at oneirism.app/privacy with an updated effective date.
